Comments : In the Supplement of New Orchid Hybrids to The Orchid Review, Vol. 114, No. 1270, July-August 2006, the following is said concerning the parentage of this hybrid: "Seed parent submitted as Phrag. ecuadorense 'Birchwood', plants under this name may be natural hybrids, hence this has not been treated automatically as a synonym of Phrag. pearcei."
If it is treated as a synonym of Phrag. pearcei than this hybrid is synonymous with Phrag. Carol Kanzer.
