Comments : When the registration of this hybrid was published in the Supplement of New Orchid Hybrids it was accompanied by the following footnote: "J-P. Faust reports that the seed parent plant is not the natural hybrid to which the name Phrag. ecuadorense is sometimes misapplied."
If this is true then the parents of this hybrid are Phrag. pearcei and Phrag. Sorcerer's Apprentice.
